History
Our beginnings go back to April 1961 when Ervin Lentz founded Lentz Insurance Agency with business conducted from his residence. In 1991, the office was moved to it’s current location in Reedsburg and at the same time, the agency ownership was transferred to Ervin’s son, Kurt. Western Insurance Services, also in Reedsburg, originated as a branch office of Western Insurance in Sparta, WI. Mag Andres started her insurance career with the Reedsburg office in 1986 and purchased the branch in 1992. In January of 2004, Lentz Insurance and Western Insurance merged under the name Lentz & Andres Insurance Agency so they could offer a broader spectrum of companies and services.
After many successful years together, Mag retired in 2017. Kurt then partnered with Jane White, a long time employee. The name of the agency was changed to Lentz & White Insurance Agency at that time. The agency continues to be an independent agency that can offer you home, auto, farm, recreational vehicle, watercraft, life, annuities and commercial insurance from many companies.
As we move forward, Kurt and Jane and their staff remain dedicated to providing long term, personalized service to the community so they can continue to meet your insurance needs.
